Is het
mogelijk om in de winter op paardrijvakantie naar Kreta te gaan?
Ja, Odysseia is het hele jaar
geopend. De temperatuur in de winter varieert tussen de 5 - 20 graden
Celsius met veel zon.
• Mijn man
rijdt geen paard, zijn er ook andere activiteiten in Avdou?
Naast de stranden en bekende
archeologische opgravingen van Kreta, is er de mogelijkheid in Avdou voor
wandelen (E4 wandel route), vogel kijken met gids, valscherm springen, speleologie
en berg beklimmen. Een 18 hole golf course ligt op 7 km.

hotel?
The hotel and the stables
are situated next to each other, on our 3,8 hectare of land. They they
are separated by the restaurant, pool and Kerm oak forest.
From the rooms to the stables it is a 3 min. walk

The
stables, Manolis, the horses, were all fantastic! We had such a good
time on the rides - through lovely countryside, stopping off a
tavernas for "refreshments" ie raki, meeting some very nice people.
Ten out of ten. The rooms at the stables themselves are
heavenly. The hotel where we stayed was very
nice as well. Quiet (!) and run by a very friendly couple. The town
square in the old centre of the village where we stayed was a long
way away, and delightful. We also found a fabulous beach within 1/2
hour drive where my daughter and I were the only people on it most
days, followed by a lunch of fresh fish that we sometimes saw hauled
out of the sea before it was cooked for us.
Can't wait to go back.

Had a fantastic time. Manolis is a star. The trip is really worth
recommending. Horses solid, organisation good, really terrific people. If
you want a down to earth no bullshit trail this one would be hard to beat.
